Orestes Gómez is a Venezuelan percussionist and producer pushing rhythm into new territory. Drawing from the deep traditions of Afro-Caribbean and Venezuelan drums, he works with master percussionists to capture ancestral rhythms in their purest form—then reshapes them through jazz improvisation, hip-hop grooves, and modern electronic production.

The result is a powerful live experience where traditional percussion, hardware, and immersive sound design collide. Every performance becomes a journey through rhythm, memory, and movement.

His project No Me Fui Porque Quise explores migration, identity, and resilience—turning the story of leaving home into a deeply emotional and rhythm-driven performance. It’s not just a concert, but an experience where ancestral drums meet contemporary sound, inviting audiences into a space where tradition and innovation move together.
