The band has an unmistakable sound that blends elements of disco, acid jazz, funk and Latin rhythms, a combination that has won over audiences not only in their native Venezuela, but in many different corners of the world.

Songs such as “Mentiras,” “La Que Me Gusta” and “Espérame” are sung along to by thousands of fans around the globe. Their international breakthrough came in 1996, when they were discovered by David Byrne, who signed them to his record label, Luaka Bop. Some time later, the album New Sound of the Venezuelan Gozadera was released in 1998.

Over the course of a 31-year career, Los Amigos Invisibles have released 10 studio albums and two live records. Winners of a Latin Grammy, with multiple nominations including the Grammy Awards, and having performed in more than 60 countries, these are just some of the milestones of a band whose career shows no signs of slowing down and knows no borders.
