From Pretoria, South Africa, DJ Maphorisa rose from a young beatmaker exploring local sounds to one of the most influential producers and DJs in Africa.

Early in his career, he experimented with Kwaito and house before diving deep into Gqom and Amapiano, helping define and export these unique South African genres to the world.

On stage, DJ Maphorisa is an unstoppable force. His sets are energetic and unforgettable, packed with crowd-favourite songs like “Abantwana Bakho,” “Mnike,” “Biri Marung,” “Ngibolekeni,” and “Money Constant.”

Joined by the “Gqom King,” DJ Lag is a pioneering South African DJ and producer who helped shape and internationalize the raw, percussive sound of Gqom from Durban. Emerging in the early 2010s, he gained global recognition through Boiler Room and releases on Goon Club Allstars, quickly becoming a leading force in electronic music.

His debut album Meeting with the King introduced “Gqom 2.0,” blending Afro House, Amapiano, and techno influences, while earning critical acclaim. Tracks like “Hade Boss” further cemented his impact, achieving viral success worldwide. He has performed at major festivals including Glastonbury and EDC Las Vegas, and co-produced Beyoncé’s “My Power.”
